Lori Smart, President and Founder of SmartATI, has successfully developed and managed technology and training solutions to meet the needs of state and federal agencies, corporations, universities and K-12 schools. She has in-depth knowledge of Management and Information Technology, Accessiblity and Workforce Development Training. She established the company with a mission to expand education and access to technology for people with disabilities and displaced workers. She holds a Bachelors Degree in Management and Information Technology from Daniel Webster College and an Assistive Technology Certificate from California State University’s Center on Disabilities, ATACP program.
Our Management Team delivers each project with detailed reporting, ensuring timely delivery of equipment, close communications with the customer and measures risks while implementing safety standards and safeguards . Every job is handled with integrity and the highest level of quality. We have created an environment and management approach that promotes retention, cooperation, and teamwork, which in turn leads to successful delivery of task orders, projects, and products. Our contract management team ensures timely contract performance, reporting and conformance with contract guidelines.
Our IT and Safety Trainers are highly experienced professionals holding certifications in their specialized fields. Our team plans, develops and deploys technology, safety and workforce development training solutions for corporations and private agencies. Our training programs can be customized to fit the needs of our clients. Our team delivers value added services for agencies looking to increase the skills of their workforce. We have designed a cost effective evaluation system to enable employers to effectively identify skill gaps of employees to target training needs, increasing productivity and limiting costs.
Our Accessibility Team have extensive education and experience in accessibility services, assistive technologies, and disability laws to enable government and corporations to provide reasonable accommodations for disabled workers and maintain compliancy with Americans with Disability Act. SmartATI employs subject matter experts in blind, low vision, deaf, hard-of-hearing, mobility and cognitive disabilities helping agencies incorporate appropriate policies and services for employees and clients with disabilities. Our team have specialized skills in the installation, configuration and implementation of assistive technologies ranging from screen readers for the blind, adaptive input devices for computer technology, voice recognition, CCTV’s, scan & read devices (OCR), Braille displays, embossers, communication for deaf/hard-of-hearing and much more. Our clients range from federal government to corporations and educational institutions enabling clients to maintain compliancy with the Americans with Disabilities Act, Section 504 (reasonable accommodations) and Section 508 (accessibility of electronic & information technology).
